PRODUCED BY GLENN MAX AND MAREK PYTEL. AN ORIGINAL REALITY PRODUCTION.

Acid Mothers Temple

Given Acid Mothers Temple's memorable performance on the South Bank as part of last year's Mind Your Head festival, some utterly unique instrumentals are likely when they provide the score for one of modern cinema's darkest fantasies. The band have built an enviable reputation for superb live performances, featuring uncompromising guitar solos, bizarre jazz inspired improvisation and Krautrock-like noise. Imagine spending an acid tinged weekend up a Japanese mountain with only a battered tape player for company. The sounds emanate as and when they wish, it might be a snatch of ear shredding guitar noise, an ambient electronic pulse, traditional folk or the sweet sound of a handmaiden warbling... you never guess what's coming next.

The challenging ensemble on stage provide an ideal aural accompaniment to Hideki Takayama's 18 Certificate 108-minute LEGEND OF THE OVERFIEND. The animated film, featuring extreme scenes of graphic sex, demon-induced gore and supernatural horror depicts the universe of the 'Chojin', or super-god, which every 3000 years is born to unite the 3 dimensions and unleash total evil and destruction, with all the hardcore horror one expects from the Manga genre.
